Vou Falar de Ti a Toda a Gente — Francisco Monteiro Lopes / Teatro Gíria

Death often carries an idea of an end. But what if it’s just another phase of a cycle? Three young people have the same goal: to hold a friend’s funeral. At this moment, doubts, conflicts and identity issues arise, fueled by the fact that everyone has known their friend in different ways. Can those who stay put aside egos and personal beliefs, agreeing on a fair way to honor the departed? Confronted with the imperfection of the life cycle, the characters go through a process of trying to make it more perfect, looking for equality, dreams, and hope to be within everyone’s reach.

In this show there is a parallel between reality and fiction, in which the characters join the actors and creators in the search for the best way to honor a friend.

About Francisco Monteiro Lopes and Rodrigo Aleixo

The partnership between Francisco Monteiro Lopes and Rodrigo Aleixo emerged in 2019, when they created the first project together, the monologue A 20 de Novembro, by Lars Norén, premiered in 2020. Since then, the creators have continued their journey and are in this time to take steps towards the formation of a cultural association.

At the age of 15, Francisco Monteiro Lopes joined the Escola Profissional de Teatro de Cascais (2016-2019), where he obtained a solid training in theater. In 2021, he made a circulation of the show A 20 de Novembro through some parts of the country, with the support of DGArtes. Between 2019 and 2021 he made several short films and participated in television projects.
