[RESEARCH]
_____________ (to be named) aims to be a self-love in action mantra, through a solo-collective piece. A solo that reflects — about me as a woman… or about me, nothing added afterwords — and invites the participatory experience of the present audience, a solo which I aim to echo within me and the ones who come live this moment almost as a repetitive act which is sane to relive. Does it aim? Is it possible? Maybe, yes, but without it being directly about it. It can be… a mantra about self-love achieved diagonally, meaning it can be about it but it’s not exactly about it because what’s in front of us is something else. What I know is that I want to get out of the way and let that solo be what it wants…though it’s yet to be. It is now a process, a space to be filled with impulses, images and material/dances.

About Catarina Campos
Catarina Campos studied Architecture while simultaneously dancing, she did the “formation professionelle de danses urbaines” at Flow Dance Academy Paris, the Complementary Formation at Juste Debout School Paris and the FAICC program at Companhia Instável. Currently doing the Waack in formation in Madrid. Dancer with a broad movement vision with its origins in street and club dances. Cocreator and dancer of TRES PAS SAR (2016), QUERENCIA (2017) and BOWND (2018). Dancer in |F| of Orchidaceae Dance Company and EXPEDIÇÃO (2019) of Mara Andrade. Creator of PELO MENOS 77. (2019). Performer and dancer at Jonas&Lander BATE FADO (2021).
