In Timbuktu, Diogo Andrade is a dog called Mr. Bones. Mr. Bones can’t tell his story without telling his owner’s – Willy G. Christmas – an eccentric and troublesome half-vagabond poet, born in Brooklyn. After losing his owner’s trail, Mr. Bones believes he’s dead and he can only follow his own path. Timbuktu is a solo directed and performed by Diogo Andrade, based on Paul Auster’s novel Timbuktu.
DIOGO ANDRADE
Diogo has the HNC in Acting and Performance, the Actors course of Evoé School and the Master in Theatre of ESTC. Besides theatre, he developed work within the realms of video installation, contemporary dance and performance. From his training and professional experience he highlights the work with Ricardo Gageiro, Joana Craveiro, Sofia Cabrita, Gonçalo Amorim, João Brites, André Murraças, Nuno Nunes, Pablo Fernando, Nádia Nogueira, Isabel M. Machado, Miguel Maia, Susana Cecílio and Pedro Gil.
