In Seven Years Seven Pieces, Portuguese choreographer Cláudia Dias proposes to create seven pieces in seven consecutive years. At the origin of the project is a political gesture: the rejection of instability; the right to a medium and long-term future; demanding time for experimentation and creation; supporting artistic research underpinned by values of continuity, trust, and shared processes – all of which are necessary for the production of knowledge, as opposed to the circulation of information.In 2019, Cláudia Dias begins working on the fourth instalment of the project. After Pablo Fidalgo Lareo, Luca Bellezze, and Igor Gandra, the project continues with choreographer and dancer Idoia Zabaleta.
