TRACE | 12 partituras para respirar, caminhar e parar

TRACE is a project of artistic creation
about the gesture of tracing and notating movement
about tracing a path in the territory with the body
and also about eroding and opening gaps

TRACE reflects on the path that human beings have been tracing in a symbiotic relationship with the surrounding environment, through 3 actions: breathing, walking and being still. These actions will be developed as choreopolitical agents, which operate through movement for a consciousness of the body and the territory.  It will be online throughout 2021 via 12 scores, 3 sound pieces and 3 videos. The scores will be published monthly and the rest of the materials at the Equinoxes and Solstices.

Sara Anjo (PT 1982) is a dancer and choreographer interested in meditative and ecstatic practices, breathing and walking are the main ones. She is also interested in developing her work in relation to outdoors and natural environments. She permanently questions herself about: what moves us? How do we move? And to where are we moving? As a maker she is interested in proposals that activate a sonic theatre, where choreography and the performative space are explored through soundscape.
