ILHAS – uma constelação

“ISLANDS – A CONSTELLATION” is an installation and a sound performance that addresses the imagery of travel and island geography, starting with the idea that an island is a body surrounded by the sea and lives through the alternation of the tides. Its sea mirrors the sky, and the island is a kind of star. It is not a coincidence that the islands, when drawn on maps or when captured by satellite images, look like constellations and invite the imaginary of the fantastic. Insular territory has long been the scene of fascinating travels and is fundamental to think about the most exuberant utopias and the most obscure dystopias.
