Is the language Portuguese? What language do we speak anyway? Can all people who speak Portuguese say they speak the same language? And our language(s), what do they say about us? Outra Língua is a project created by women from Angola, Brazil, and Portugal. A performance-conference in which, based on the experience of Portuguese speakers from different countries, we question whether our mother tongue is the same and whether, by intervening on it, we can change the reality it describes.

Keli Freitas (1983, Brazil) is a creator, playwright and actress. Graduated in Letters from PUC – Rio and a Master’s student in Portuguese Studies from Universidade Nova de Lisboa. Osmarina Pernambuco não consegue fazer, her most recent creation, premiered at Teatro Nacional D. Maria II in November 2019.
