Mininu (Show)

Was it, was it? It was right. This is the story of a boy who had a dream. It is a story of escape and travel, from the rice fields and the mandinga drums from Gabu to the rhythms of Guinea Conakry, passing through Moscow, Bissau and Lisbon. What does a boy have to do to find his place in life and in the world?

Mininu is a multi-disciplinary show for children that uses various languages such as theater, literature, music, visual arts and video to create a communicating and universal object. Inspired by Guinean culture, it is created following Nha Mininu – a project that involved the collection of traditional children’s songs in all regions of Guinea-Bissau and the production of a CD with original arrangements and the participation of Guinean musicians residing in Portugal.

Mininu is a story of travel and encounter.
