Lisbon Sisters

Starting from the universe created by Jeffrey Eugenides  in  the  literary  work  As  Virgens Suicidas (1993),  LISBON  SISTERS  intends to explore and develop some of the points and themes  proposed  in  the  original  work.  In Jeffrey’s fictional work, we met a group of five sisters, nicknamed Lisbon, who had just arrived in a typical neighborhood somewhere in the United States. Rigidly educated and in a harsh environment, the lives of these sisters undergo a major change after the suicide of their young- est, Cecilia, as it is following this event that the sisters begin to live locked up in their own home. This show aims to focus on exactly this last point.
