Virgens Suicidas

With a precise and clinical language, “Virgin Suicides” is a new creation inspired in the homonymous text by Jeffrey Eugenides and in Frank Wedekind’s “Mine-Haha.” With Luísa Cruz, Vera Mantero, Mariana Tengner Barros and adolescent gymnasts, in this space confined to the feminine there is something disturbing: cutted from the rest of the world, submission of the young girls to a physical discipline, opens in each of them a state of exception to violent desires of annihilation.

“Virgin Suicides” attacks the repressive nature of education, marked by the inauguration and the end of the adult body.
