Diana Niepce (Residency)

July 7 - July 17

Diana Niepce - Fotografia de Alípio Padilha

I am interested in observing the dance archive and understanding the hierarchy that organizes the body. Approaching and researching the other side of Portuguese dance, understanding that the body was not always excluded, but as a performer, which bodies were thrown to the margins and how these excluded bodies moved and found their place. I am interested in looking at history and understanding in an experimental way, in the dance field, observing the chronology of this other side of dance and through it, as the word experimental suggests, putting my body to the test. Body that here represents matter, and presents the entire mapping of the representation of the invisible in the history of dance.
