“A beam of light shines through the audience – like a lighthouse, it lights the shadows. I belong in this twilight, waiting for what is to come. A light spot appears, mysterious wildfire, followed by so many others that dance around me. I touch it, speak to it, hide from it. Velocity increases giddily and noise settles in. Bodies wander under increasing pressure, heading towards the rapture, the fall into the unknown. I close my eyes and let myself be guided through the light.”

Bestiário is an artistic structure that focuses its research on theater, influenced by several areas of knowledge, namely the exact sciences and the humanities. Over its 3 years, it has already collaborated with renowned institutions such as Teatro da Garagem, Escola de Mulheres, Teatro do Bolhão, Fábrica das Artes (CCB), F. Culturgest and O Espaço do Tempo in a total of five creations. Bestiário was founded by Afonso Viriato, Helena Caldeira, Miguel Ponte and Teresa Vaz.
