Behemot ou a Queda (afectos) — Gonçalo Alegria

I am lying down on one of those pandemic afternoons, thinbking about Behemot the cat from The Master and Margarita. That book ins’t here anymore but it is present by it’s abscence. I am transported to the book of Job and to Thomas Hobbes Behemoth, and also to Daemonologie of. James I of England.

I decided to write a text where I devise a walk, where we can observe this history territory
To realize that what is being discussed in the chosen texts are things that are subsumed in the rest of the other texts that assist the dragging of history.

Realizing the possibilities of this intertextuality, of not only direct extraction of elements from other works, but also being able to put them in dialogue in the scene: text, origin, author and actor.

This process will involve confronting the text with the readers, critics, creators and, as a team, inhabiting a world where we can find astonishment in our findings and give back something to read.

About Gonçalo Alegria

Creates sound installations and develops interdisciplinary work.
Collaborates with sound and musical artists in special projects. Has written for a television cooking show *the Secret Ingredient*.

He studied music with Walter Lopes, José Eduardo, Mario Delgado.
He was a teacher of Sound and Light in EPAOE-Chapitô. Attended the *Interdisciplinary and Technological Performance Arts*, Gulbenkian Creativity Program in 2008, Frequency of the Ar.Co. Illustration Course between 2002 and 2004.
Currently attending the masters in Music Arts in FCSH.

He worked among others with Ana Libório, Diana Niepce, Companhia Caótica, Marina Nabais, Andresa Soares, João Ferro Martins, Daniela Silvestre, Silvia Pinto Coelho, João Pedro Vaz, Suburbe, Teatro Praga, Ninho de Víboras, Teatro Meridional e Teatro Experimental de Cascais. Also edited sound for film. Working in theater since 1999.
